Breckenridge!

This past weekend we dropped Dillon off at Mikel's family's house and we headed up to Breckenridge for the weekend. We won the trip with Aflac and I was quite excited to go. When we got there we got our room and it was nothing like we expected, We walked in to this:

The Living room, with fireplace and patio

More living room

The Kitchen, yes I know kinda hard to believe, but it was fully stocked with everything you need to make whatever you want, excluding the food of course :)

This was our Aflac gift the State Sales Cooridnatior gave a bottle of wine (no we don't drink), two glasses, See's chocolates and a thank you card with a C-note in it.

The bathroom

The bedroom

We went to a nice dinner that night with a auction, man they had some pretty cool stuff that was going up for auction, unfortunatly we didn't have enough money to bid or we may have. The dinner was alright the dessert was the best. After that we danced for a bit and enjoyed our night.

The next morning, Saturday, we were not sure what was going on so Mikel called his District sales Coordinator, and went out to breakfast with a few people from the region. It was great food, I would definatly got there again. The place was called Columbine Cafe, so if you ever make it up there try it out. After breakfast we were going to go up to the alpine slide, but it was closed I was disapointed. We ended up going to jump on the tramp with bungies, but by the time it was our turn it was starting to rain so we had to wait. We then walked through the shops that were there and got cold because we forgot to bring jackets. So we went and got Sweatshirts/hoodies for $15 a pop, we also got a bear for Dillon. Later we walked into another store that had the same hoodies that were $30 each, so we got a great deal! Later it stopped raining and we went back to jump, and we actually made it this time. It was so much fun, the first time just makes your stomach jump you don't quite expect to go so high.

Me jumping and loving it!

Mikel jumping!

Then we decided to take a hike in the mountains right behind our resort.

This is Bever Run Resort, and this is the exact building we stayed in.

More Bever Run, there were 4 buildings this is 3&4, (3 on the right and 4 on the left)

Love this view in the mountians.

Look you can see the resort.

Me in the mountians

That night we went to dinner with the region and swam in the pool. The pool was great it was actually a heated pool it was great!

Sunday morning we went to church, after that went down to the pool again. Then we decided it was time to go and see our little boy again so we left and picked him up. We had a great time there. Dillon also did well for his grandparents, I was glad to hear it. He was so happy to see us!

4th of July and more!

I know I haven't posted for awhile so this will be a long one with pics!

About a week ago my brother came home from Tahiti and boy that day was quite entertaining. That afternoon we met over at my families house to ride together to go to the airport to pick up Hunter. His plane was scheduled to arrive at 2:37pm so we were at the airport at 2pm and waited until it arrived. We were watching the status of the flight and noticed that it had finally landed, we got excited and waited. While we were waiting we saw another family who was waiting for their daughter also coming home from Tahiti and was holding a banner that said "Welcome Home" we found out that they were LDS and their daughter was also on a mission there in Tahiti. While Mom was speaking to them they got a call from their daughter saying that they missed that flight and that they were on stand by for a flight expected to arrive at midnight. They took our numbers to get ahold of us just in case they made an earlier flight. We then went to dinner at the Golden Corrale. Basically an all-you-can-eat buffet. We also made it for the best time to pay the lunch price and get the dinner menu, in other words STEAK! We ate well there and while there we got a call from the siste missionary's family saying that they got on a plane scheduled to arrive at 7:30pm. After dinner we went to a park so that we didn't have to go all the way home just to go all the way back to the airport. While at the park Dillon went down the slide then proceded to scale the slide. I found it quite funny that he actually was able to make it up. When we finally got back to the airport we watched for the plane to arrive and while so doing i heard an announcement for my parents, I told me mom and she went crazy! We found a phone to use to find out what the message was. We found out that there was a guy that came in from Tahiti looking for Hunter because he will be staying with him. We looked for him for a little bit but couldn't find him. So we watched for Hunter. When we finally found him he was walking up with the Siste missionary that he was traveling with. I was so excited to see him again. After we got his luggage and got everything put together and we caught up all the way home.

The 4th of July/my birthday was a great day! We went to Mikel's families house to pick up his little sis and her boyfriend so that we could go to Mikel's grandparents house. We had a pretty good ride up there, until some idiot in an American Furniture Warehouse semi truck decided to turn on his blinker and try to move over just seconds after he turned on his blinker. He tried to cut us off. Mikel had to slam on the break and it was not a pretty sight luckly there was noone behind us. We made it safely to the grandparents house and had a good time. We ate hamburgers and brauts and had alot of ice cream. Here are some pics:

Saturday we had some friends over and we played some Wii and went to the pool. I wasn't sure how Dillon was going to take to the pool this time knowing that las time he wasn't all that intrested. He acutally loved it. He splashed and played and had a good time. He enjoyed being in the water. Then he got cold and it was time for him to get out so I got out with him and went to the hot tub he was wrapped up in a towel and I put him on a chair and watched him while we were in the hot tub. He was actually trying to fall asleep. It was so cute. Anyway it was a great day!

Here are some random pics of Dillon with his dad's hat and sunglasses on.

The Weekend and all the craziness involved

So the weekend all started on Friday, Miranda and I, planned to go to the temple to spend some time together before she gets married the next day. She wasn't feeling well that morning, so we didn't go in the morning, because she had some things that needed to get done. Some of those plans ended up getting canceled. Except picking up the rental car. We got a ride with Kris, the financee, and Kris's uncle and dad to the rental place. They took care of getting the rental done, then Kris left while we waited for the car to get washed and detailed. The rental place had the appointment down for 1pm and we were there at noon, so the car wasn't quite ready. By the time it was done. There was no gas in the car, so she opted to have them put some gas in the car. We then tried to get to the temple after that and on the freeway we got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. While we were waiting there we saw a Suberban that was on the onramp to the freeway and decided that he didn't want to get on so they backed up all the way to the the street to turn around, we laughed quite hard. While we were waiting we talked about her financee how they met and stuff. We found out what was holding traffic up. It was a rollover accident. We had had police cars, an ambulance, and a tow truck before we got to the accident. We really enjoyed the time we spent together. When we finally got off the freeway we went to Olive Garden for the soup, salad and breadstick lunch. It was really good to have something to eat and enjoy being with Miranda. Then we went back to her house so I could pick Dillon up. I ended up staying there for a little bit to help out. Then ran home to change before going to the church to set up for the reception. I helped with getting an arch and decorating the arch, I thought it looked really good. Then after we were finished setting up, all the girls got together for a mormon bacherloette party. We made homade pizzas for dinner. Then hung out until someone got the bright idea to do shots. We had put soda with whipped cream on them and drank them just using their mouths. That was quite the experience. It definatly wasn't my specitaly. Miranda got a call from her financee that she didn't pick up but a frind did telling here that something was wrong with the rental, we were all confused because we had no idea what they were talking about. When Miranda finally got the phone we all ran outside to see what they did. They decided to put blown up condoms on the atennae and door handle of the rental. They thought they were pretty funny, I thought it was pretty immature of them. When Kris called again I picked it up and he totally thought it was Miranda keep in mind Miranda and I look alot alike in body shape. I found that quite funny. We ended up leaving around 1 am, so that we could all get some sleep before the big day!

Saturday we get up and get ready and drop off Dillon at my families house so we could go to the sealing. We arrived at the temple at a good time and got in and waited. In the waiting room I found it intresting that on one side there was Kris's family and on the other side there was Miranda's family. The sealing was over all alright. It was neat to finally be able to attend a live sealing, that was pretty neat. I then has worked it out with the photographer that I would come out when they were ready. I ended up helping her get into her dress with the Maitron of honor and her mother. It was quite a dress to get her into but not too difficult. Then we all got out and took pictures. Since her mother left her reccomend in the temple I stayed around to help her get out of her dress. After we were done there Mikel and I walked around Parker days, the festival here in town they have every year, with some friends. It was a nice sunny day! We enjoyed geting out and doing that with our friends. I also got to test drive a Toyota Highlander hybrid, it was so nice, we were on a time crunch with the the reception. I needed to be at the church in enough time to help her get her dress on again. We made it in time for that. They got some pictures taken before the reception started then just hung and mingled for the reception. Kris's brothers decided to decorate their rental car. They had decided to put sticky notes all over with stuff written on them, it was quite a neat idea and it didn't hurt the rental! We left before they opened presents because Dillon was getting cranky, granted he had been cranky all day because he didn't have a nap or at leat much of one. We ended up so tired that we crashed on the couch.

Sunday we got up to get ready for church. It was a good day there. The RS gave all the dad's pie and they loved it! I think it was a great idea. Then in the afternoon we went to the in-laws house for lunch. We had Mom's famous enchaladas. I call them famous because I love them and I would eat them alot if we could recreate them ourselves. We hung out for awhile and Dillon got to play with the bunny. Then we left and spent the rest of our time at home. We even had one of our friends come over to talk for a bit. It was a pretty good chat we had a lot to talk about, then by the time we were done we were so ready for bed. Well that is the end of my crazy weekend!

Finished!!

I have finally finshed the book The Host by Stephenie Meyer. That was why I haven't updated it here lately. It is very different than the Twilight series that she did, but still very well written! I highly recomend this book. I am not huge into Scifi stuff, but she does a good job at getting me realed in. It did take me a little to get into it at first but once I got through that part I started enjoying it. I was quite amazed that I could real the 615 pages in 3 weeks with the first week not reading as much. For any one who wants an idea as to what it is about here ya go. It is about a soul called Wanderer who can't survive with out a host and was placed into a host by the name of Melanie. In a real world the soul would completly take over the mind and body of the host, but in this case Melanie won't let Wanderer take over. It is really intresting to see what trials they go through together and how they get along.

Last weekend I spent the morning at the Woodhouse day spa. It was the most increadable experience ever. I got a Swedish Massage and boy that felt so good! It felt great to be able to relax and meditate and all. After the massage I got a pedicure, this was the first pedicure that I have ever had and it was great! I would totally do it again! It was great to enjoy a morning to relax and I would totally recomend the Woodhouse day spa to anyone who would like to try it out.

I am so excited my brother comes home in 2 weeks today!! I can't wait to see him again and talk to him about his mission in Tahiti. I still can't believe it have been 2 years already. Time really passes by quickly!

Dillon has now learned to say "Please" in sign. We figured that since he uses "thank you" with his words and wouldn't even go there with "please" that we would teach him the sign. He is really picking it up pretty well. Now I have shape, ABC'S and 123'S to go. If any one has any ideas how to teach him let me know. I have no idea where to start.
